Care instructions for naturally dyed fabrics

Naturally dyeing fabrics is a great way to reduce our daily chemical load. Natural dyes are living colors and need to be handled gently. They can be sensitive to pH changes and sun's UV rays and can change a little over time. This is completely normal. With the right care you'll ensure the longest possible life for the colors. To get the most of your beautiful hand dyed silk, follow these instructions:

  • Store the textiles away from direct sunlight
  • Avoid unnecessary washing
  • Hand wash in cold water with pH neutral detergent meant for delicate textiles like silk and wool
  • Air dry away from direct sunlight
  • Iron when damp on low setting
